In Charazay Basketball Manager there are three different National Teams: the senior national team, the U21 national team and the U18 national team. All players from a country will be able to play in the senior NT, while only players up to 21 (or 18) years old will be able to play in the other two teams.

World Cup

The World Cup is held every two seasons and it is composed by a qualification round and by the real world cup final stages.

Qualifications

8 groups of 8 teams, home and away match against each other team, top 3 advance to WC 1st round. Groups will be made using the rankings at the time of the draw.

Each team will play one home and one away match against each of the other teams. Matches are played from week 7 to week 13 in the first NT season and from week 1 to week 7 in the second one.

World Cup

First round: 4 groups of 6 teams, top 3 advance to second round, taking previous results against each other further to next round. Matches are played from week 11 to week 15 in the second NT season.

Second round: 2 groups of 6 teams, top 4 advance to the championship round. Groups are made combining two groups from the previous round and teams will only play three games against the teams coming from the other group. Matches are played on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday of week 16 in the second NT season.

Championship round: 8 teams with single elimination games. Matches are played on Saturday, Monday and Wednesday of week 17 in the second NT season.

Matchups of the eight-finals will be made as follows:

A1 vs B4

A3 vs B2

A2 vs B3

A4 vs B1

During the season WC games are all played on Monday. Friendlies are also played on Mondays if there's not a scheduled WC game.

Coaches will be able to add or remove players to their selections any time, but each removal or addition will have an immediate negative effect on the National Team's chemistry. If the player selected or removed from the National Team is 15 years old and he has been promoted in the last 30 days he won't affect the chemistry of the team.

National Team's chemistry will be put at level Decent every two seasons on the 6th week update of the season and it raises weekly on the week update.

Players are able to play in all the national teams without restrictions (if they are eligible). NT roster changes are not allowed on Mondays or on any other NT match day.

Cup of Nations

64 teams will participate in the qualification stage. To determine the 8 teams that won't participate the last 16 ranked nations will play a single elimination game on week 6, after the Team Chemistry has been reset to decent:

The 8 winners will join the 56 other teams in the World Cup Qualifications, divided in 8 groups of 8 teams. First three teams will qualify for the following round.

The 8 losers will become a separate group (outside WC) and play 14 official games in a new Cup of Nations

Elections

Elections for the three National Teams coaches are held every two seasons and all users registered before the beginning of the elections will be able to cast their vote. Voting begins on Sunday of week 1 and ends after a week. Senior NT coaches are elected in even seasons and the U18 and U21 NT coaches are elected in odd seasons.

It is not allowed to spam both on the website or on the forums to get more users vote for you. Doing so will result in a long ban.

Candidates who get banned because of election related infractions will be automatically (or immediately) removed from the candidate list.

If the first round of elections ends up tied, the users with same amount of votes will have a second round of elections to decide which one will be the new coach. If even after the second round, the elections are still tied, the oldest user will get the job.

If an user become inactive after being elected as a NT coach, the National Team will become a bot and there will be new elections to replace him only at the beginning of the new season.

NT Coaches code of conduct

If a National Coach has a player of its own being part of the National Team, and wants to sell him, this is allowed, but if the Crew decides that the player isn't worth such money, then there will be actions taken against the transfer.

National team's coach who will cause an intentional walkover in any official match will be removed from his position and not replaced until following elections.

If a National Team causes a walkover in any official match, all other matches of the team are treated as walkovers as well.

Bot National Teams

The selections of players for the National Teams without a coach are made automatically every week on Thursday.

NT Players and Transfer Market

Players that played at least one match (both a friendly or an official match) and are playing in a bot team are transfer listed after bot reset or when the team receives a new owner.

What is more, when you fire a player that is younger than 36 years and have any NT appearances, he will be put on transfer market as a free agent as well.

If a National Team player is 18 years old or younger, he will be transfer listed even if he never played for one of his country National Teams.

Please note: you can't fire a player that is a member of National Team.
