You can pull a rookie from your youth squad to your A-squad (once a week). You have 3 options to invest money into picking up a new rookie. Each amount has different impact of rookie academy level change.

When pulling a rookie, he will not be part of your team yet. You cannot sell him, not play him in matches, he cannot train yet.

Therefore you first need to accept him. When accepting your rookie, you will pay his salary and he will join your team. Watch out, by accepting a rookie, your academy level will drop to terrible.

On the other hand, you can also decline a rookie, if you don't like him. Declining him means that you didn't have to pay any salary and the player will be deleted.

The player will appear on that page, until you accept or decline him. If you did nothing, will be deleted automatically at the next week update.

The chance of getting a good rookie depends of the level of the rookie academy. Higher is the academy, higher the chance.

You can pull rather a good rookie, or a bad rookie. What's the difference? A good rookie, for the engine, is a rookie created with all skills from 3 to 8. A bad rookie has skills from 1 to 6.

As skills are generated randomly, a 'good' rookie can be worse than a bad rookie (imagine all skills 3-4), but the chance is smaller.

You also have to take into account that age is generated purely random, so you have 25% chance to get a 15 year old rookie.

The chance to pull such a 'good' rookie compared to your rookie academy level are:

• 5-11%: Terrible
• 11-17%: Poor
• 18-23%: Average
• 24-29%: Decent
• 30-35%: Good
• 36-41%: Great
• 42-47%: Excellent
• 47-53%: Fantastic

So, on fantastic level, you have about 50% chance to get a rookie pulled with skills from 3 to 8. Though, you still need to have some luck that they are rather high and you also have to take into account the extra random factor of age.

Please note that rookies get a bonus on each skill, depending on the age and the week pulled. So that's why you can see older rookies with 9 on a skill.

What impact has invested amount on Rookie academy level change?

• No pull: rookie academy (sub)level will drop next week update
• Low investment: no change to rookie academy level
• Mid investment: rookie academy level raises
• Higher investment: rookie academy level raises even more

The maximum starting skills of rookies depends on their age and on the week of the season. Here are the values for rookies pulled at week 1 :

• 15yo : max skill is 8, experience: 0
• 16yo : max skill is 8.5, experience: 0.5
• 17yo : max skill is 9, experience: 1
• 18yo : max skill is 9.5, experience: 1.5

For rookies pulled later in the season, 0,03 is added per week. For example, a rookie pulled at week 5 get +0,15 in every skills.
